Archiving Policy

Social Thought and Policy Review (Soc. Thought Policy Rev.) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. The journal ensures that its scholarly output remains available to researchers, policymakers, and the public without interruption.

1. Digital Preservation

The journal’s content is archived in trusted digital preservation systems to guarantee permanent accessibility, even in the event of website or system failure.

We participate in the following preservation initiatives:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) – for long-term storage of Open Journal Systems (OJS) content.

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) – to ensure multiple copies are stored in a distributed network.

  • CLOCKSS – for secure, decentralized preservation and open access in case of discontinuation.

  • Internet Archive – for independent backup and accessibility.

2. Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted and encouraged to archive the final published PDF of their articles in:

  • Institutional repositories

  • Subject-based repositories

  • Personal websites or academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate)

Proper citation to the published version in Social Thought and Policy Review is required.
