
Refund Policy
Social Thought and Policy Review (Soc. Thought Policy Rev.) is committed to transparency and fairness in all financial transactions. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for article processing charges (APCs), print copy orders, or other paid services.
1. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Before Review Begins: If an author withdraws a manuscript before the peer review process starts, a full refund will be issued.

After Review Begins: APCs are non-refundable once a manuscript enters peer review, as editorial and administrative costs are incurred immediately.

After Acceptance: If a manuscript is withdrawn or retracted after acceptance, no refund will be issued.
2. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments

In the event of an accidental duplicate payment or incorrect transaction, the extra amount will be refunded in full after verification.
3. Print Copy Orders

Refunds for printed copies are available only if the cancellation request is received before printing begins.

Once copies are printed and shipped, no refund will be provided.
4. Damaged or Lost Shipments

If a print order is damaged or lost in transit, a replacement will be provided free of charge.

Refunds are not available for courier or postal delays beyond the journal’s control.
5. Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days and issued to the original payment method.
